It's not just about all the rules and regs:

Nurses cry with your child when they need a crying buddy...they remind your little angle that they really are wonderful no matter what little Johnny said...they remind them every day that they are brilliant.,..they spend tons of time helping to instill those enormously important morals, values and faith in your child...they keep the owies away and the knowing of job well done centered in their hearts.

Each year Vision and Hearing testing is done on children in grades Kg, 1, 3 and 5. (We do not test 2nd and 4th grades) If there are any concerns, then you will receive a notice from the clinic requesting a follow up visit with your doctor/ENT.

Spinal testing is no longer done for 5th graders. They will be seen again in the 7th and 9th grade to make certain that their spine is growing straight. If there are any concerns you will receive a follow up referral to see your doctor.

Maturation classes are held for both 4th and 5th grades. Parents are notified in advance and may opt their child out of any of these required classes.

What other really cool things do we do here in the Spicewood Clinic?

Children are smarter than any of us. Know how I know that? I don't know one child with a full time job and children.
